These are different treatments. Sugaring lifts the hairs off with a sugar paste and the hair grows back; laser hair removal works differently and goes in a course. Which one to choose, the specialist will say on the spot.
Chin — sugaring in Narva
Sugaring is hair removal with a sugar paste. At our Narva centre it is done on the face: above the upper lip, on the chin and on the cheeks.

About the treatment
About the treatment
The paste is applied to the skin, it wraps around the hairs, and as it is removed they come out by the root. The skin stays smooth for longer than after shaving, but the hair follicle remains, so the hair grows back over time: like waxing, sugaring removes only the hairs that are there now. Laser hair removal works differently — it acts on the follicle over a course of treatments; if you are considering it, bear in mind that sugaring and other methods that remove hair by the root should be stopped 2–4 weeks before the first session.
It is chosen when hairs are noticeable on small areas of the face — above the upper lip, on the chin, on the cheeks — and you want them gone quickly, without shaving or plucking. The hairs need to grow a little for the paste to grip them — the specialist will advise when it is best to book.
Before the treatment the specialist examines your skin. Sugaring is not done on irritated, sunburnt or broken skin, or where there is inflammation or a rash in the area; if you use products with retinoids or take them by mouth, be sure to say so — the treatment may need to be postponed. The skin is cleansed, the paste is applied and removed together with the hairs, and a soothing product is applied at the end.
Redness and sensitivity usually fade within a few hours. For the first 24 hours do not touch the area, avoid heavy make-up, sunbathing and saunas. Occasionally, removing hair by the root leads to inflammation around a hair or ingrown hairs — if this keeps happening, tell the specialist.

What to know before your visit
- 01If you are pregnant or breastfeeding — discuss the treatment with a specialist in advance

Before starting, the specialist examines the area and checks contraindications in any case — this is part of the visit, no separate booking needed.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Still have questions?
Book a visit — the specialist will look at the area and put together a plan.
What it feels like depends on the area: the skin above the upper lip is more sensitive than on the cheeks. What you yourself will feel, the specialist will explain before the start.
Hair that is too short will not be taken by the paste. The exact guide is given when you book: it depends on how and when you removed the hair before.
The hair grows back, and how fast is different for everyone. That is why the specialist will tell you after the first time how often to come.
