At the examination the specialist looks at your skin type and your goal — glow, tone, density, post-acne — and chooses the protocol and the depth of treatment. The examination is part of the visit, so no separate “introductory” consultation is needed.

About the treatment
About the treatment
Mediderma SALIPEEL DS is a salicylic-acid peel for oily skin prone to blackheads and breakouts.
SALIPEEL DS is a professional salicylic peel by the Spanish brand Mediderma. Salicylic acid dissolves in sebum, which is why it gets into the pores: according to the manufacturer, it exfoliates hardened skin cells, helps to unclog pores and has an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action. The peel is made with a macrogol base, which the manufacturer describes as suitable for every skin type, including sensitive and darker skin.
The manufacturer designed it for oily, acne-prone skin and skin with excess keratin build-up. The former Estonian website of the network describes it as a peel for problem and oily skin: it clears pores, reduces blackheads and smooths the skin texture. For dry and sensitive skin the specialist is more likely to suggest the lactic LACTIPEEL, and for redness the azelaic AZELAC PEEL.
The visit starts with an assessment: the specialist checks your skin and decides whether the peel can be done today. The skin is cleansed of make-up and sebum, the areas around the eyes and lips are protected and the peel is applied in one or two coats. As it dries, a light white film may appear on the skin — the manufacturer describes this as the sign that the peel has done its work. Tingling and a burning sensation at this stage are a normal reaction, and the specialist keeps an eye on it. It is finished with sun protection.
Straight after the treatment your skin may be slightly red, and over the following days there may be some light flaking — the usual course of a superficial peel. Do not rub or pick at flaking skin, use a moisturiser and apply high-factor sun protection every day; avoid sunbeds and deliberate tanning during this time. The specialist will tell you after the assessment how many sessions you need and how far apart. Do not squeeze spots between visits, as this can leave marks.
Concern → protocol
Your goal — and what to choose
Choose a concern — on the right we show at once how the treatment helps and which protocol we usually take.
You care for it, but the face still looks tired
The skin looks matte and tired, as if under a film. The tone is dull and grey even when your home routine is right.
This is a guide — the specialist will draw up the exact plan at the consultation or from a skin scan.

What to know before your visit
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- If you have cancer in an active phase
- If there is acute inflammation, damage or irritation in the treatment area — wait until your skin has settled
- During a flare-up of a chronic skin condition — it is better to wait for a calmer period
- If you have a fever, a cold or a flare-up of any condition — it is better to come once you feel better
The specialist checks the full list at the assessment — if in doubt, mention it when booking.

Still have questions?
Book a visit — the specialist will look at the area and put together a plan.
It depends on the protocol. Gentle facials and moisturising treatments leave no noticeable peeling — you can go out the same day. More active ones renew the skin more visibly; when that is expected, the specialist will say so in advance so you can plan your week.
Warmth or a light tingling; the discomfort is brief. The specialist watches the skin's reaction and, if needed, uses a neutraliser and soothing care.
Stop home retinoids and acids 5–7 days beforehand — if you use strong actives, tell us in advance and the protocol will be adjusted. Before a peel — no fresh tan.
For 24–48 hours — no sauna and no overheating; do not rub the skin with your hands or exfoliate it. SPF every day, even in cloudy weather; no sunbed and no active tanning for 7–14 days. Home acids — only once the specialist allows them.
Glow is often noticeable within 2–5 days. Tone and texture change over a course. Peel: usually 1–2 weeks, but we always take into account the type and intensity of the specific peel. We set intervals not only by the calendar — we check whether the skin has fully recovered after the previous treatment; the plan is drawn up at the examination for your goal.
About herpes, inflammation, pregnancy, increased sensitivity and medication — this matters before the start, so that a safe protocol can be chosen or the visit rescheduled.
