What to do beforehand

Preparation does not start on the day of the visit: some rules apply in advance, some the day before. That way the laser works more precisely and the treatment is more comfortable for the skin.

  • Shave the area 12–24 hours beforeThe hair must be in the skin, not above it. Do not pluck or wax for 2–4 weeks before the session.
  • 2–3 days before — no acids, sauna or poolStop alcohol-based lotions, acids and retinoids on the area; skip the sauna, steam room and pool. A couple of days before the visit the skin can be prepared with a gentle scrub.
  • Tell us about medication and your conditionPregnancy, antibiotics, retinoids, acute inflammation — tell the specialist at the examination.
  • Leave a patch of hair before the first sessionA small 2–3 cm patch left unshaved: from it the specialist determines the colour and structure of your hair and sets the laser parameters.
  • On the day — clean skin and loose clothingNo creams, oils, make-up or deodorants on the area; clothing that will not rub the treated spots.
  • Come 5–10 minutes earlyThe area check and contraindication review are part of the visit — no separate intake consultation.

On average 6–10: hair grows in cycles and the laser acts on hair in its active growth phase. The interval between sessions is 4–8 weeks; the specialist will draw up the exact plan after examining the area.* Please note: this is an average — in individual cases more sessions may be needed.

Yes — the device is adjusted to your phototype. There is one exception: a fresh, active tan — wait 2–4 weeks after the beach or a sunbed and protect the area with SPF cream.

There are — a specialist checks them at the examination before your first session; it is part of the visit. It is worth talking to your doctor first if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have diabetes, epilepsy, cancer or a blood-clotting disorder, or if the treated area has herpes, psoriasis, keloid scars or birthmarks. If you take hormonal or painkilling medication, just mention it when booking.
