Yes. We remove only what you mark — usually the neck and the line below the outline; the beard outline itself stays. We agree the borders at the examination, before the first flash.

About the treatment
About the treatment
Laser hair removal on sideburns for men is about shape: the edge of the sideburn is cleaned up rather than the sideburn removed. The border is marked out with you before the session.
For men, sideburns are part of the beard and the haircut, so the aim is almost never to remove everything: the laser clears whatever falls outside the chosen line — a blurred lower edge, hair creeping onto the cheekbone, the transition to the cheek. The hair here is coarse and dark, with plenty of pigment for the diode laser and a strong response; the power needed is higher than on the female area.
This area suits men who wear a beard or sideburns of a particular shape and are tired of tidying the edge with a trimmer every other day. Another common reason is ingrown hairs and irritation on the cheekbone after shaving. If the upper beard line on the cheek needs clearing too, sideburns are booked together with the cheeks.
The marking matters more than the session itself: the specialist draws the line with you and checks that both sides are symmetrical. It is drawn before the session, not during it: once the hair along the border has thinned, the line cannot be moved back. The strip is then covered with short passes while the neighbouring area is shielded; the eye is close by, so you wear protective goggles. The area is treated as a course with an interval of 4–8 weeks, because each visit reaches only hair in the active growth phase. Male hair is thicker and sits deeper than female hair, so more visits are usually needed; the specialist will give you the exact number after the assessment.
Preparation: shave the area the day before or on the day of your visit, avoid waxing and tweezers for 2–4 weeks beforehand, and come with clean skin — no beard oil, aftershave balm or fragrance on the area. And 2–4 weeks without strong sun and sunbeds: the line will not be treated on tanned skin.

How the visit goes
Step by step: the treatment
- 01Skin preparationFor 2–4 weeks before: no tanning, sunbeds, waxing, sugaring or tweezers; the day before or on the day, shave the area with an ordinary razor.
- 02Phototype and settingsThe specialist determines your skin phototype and sets the device accordingly; a cooling gel is applied to the skin.
- 03SessionThe handpiece passes over the area in flashes; built-in cooling keeps it comfortable. For most people growth slows and some hairs shed after the first few sessions — how quickly depends on hair and skin type.
- 04AfterwardsTwo weeks without sun or sunbed; do not pull hairs from the root — shaving only. The next visit is scheduled at an interval the specialist chooses.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Beard, back, ingrown hairs — what men ask about.
Still have questions?
Book a visit — the specialist will look at the area and put together a plan.
That is what people most often come for: the less hair there is, the fewer reasons for ingrown hairs and irritation. Only a course removes the problem completely, not a single session.
Large areas are done as a course at 4–8 week intervals, on average 6–10 sessions*. The laser sees dense dark hair well, so men's areas often respond confidently.* Average course — the exact number of sessions is determined individually.
The price depends on the size of the area and the length of the session: where the hair is denser and there is more work, the price is higher. Small areas cost the same as in the general price list.
We do not work with the laser over tattoos or moles — we go around those spots or cover them. Fresh scars and skin damage need time to heal; the specialist will look at the area at the examination.
Less well: the laser follows pigment, and there is almost none in grey and very light hair. We will say so plainly before the course starts, not after payment.
The treatment takes place one to one with the specialist, and everything outside the working area is covered. For our staff this is ordinary work to protocol — including delicate areas.
