Lipolytics — abdomen in Tallinn

It is chosen when one area holds fat that stays despite a balanced diet and exercise: the lower abdomen, the flanks, the outer thighs (saddlebags), the inner thighs, above the knees. Each area is a separate option on the centre’s menu. Whether the treatment suits you is decided by the specialist at the assessment.

The treatment is carried out by a suitably qualified specialist and only after an assessment. They examine the area, ask about your health, medication and allergies, and check for contraindications — these include pregnancy and breastfeeding, inflammation or broken skin in the area, allergy to any component of the product and a number of chronic conditions; if in doubt, they will ask you to consult a doctor first. The skin is cleaned with an antiseptic and the product is injected as a series of small injections across the area. It feels like brief pricks; sensitivity varies from person to person, and the specialist will explain beforehand what to expect.

Afterwards the area usually swells; there may be redness, tenderness to the touch, firmness and bruising — these are temporary reactions that settle within a few days. For the first few days do not rub the area, and avoid saunas and strenuous exercise; the specialist will tell you when massage and device treatments can start. If swelling or pain gets worse, contact the centre. The specialist will tell you after the assessment how many sessions you need and how far apart.
